5 Essential oils to boost your energy

These oils can help you boost energy and give you a very marked well-being, thanks to the fact that they contain properties that can relax nerves and tensions.

Basil

There are two types of this essential oil, basil and exotic French (or sweet) basil. Although they have similar actions, only French basil should be used in aromatherapy, as it is much safer and has a better smell. Basil oil stimulates the adrenal glands, fatigue, and clears the mind. It mixes well with lime, mint and rosemary.

Caution: Basil should not be used by pregnant women.

Ginger

Ginger essential oil has a toning effect on nerves, and is especially useful if you’re having trouble falling asleep. It mixes well with lime oil to get more effect to boost your energy.

File

Lime essential oil is a restorative and tonic, and is excellent if you are having difficulty concentrating after long hours of work or study. It mixes well with basil, ginger and rosemary.

Mint (mint or peppermint)

These mints have similar effects, but peppermint is milder, and therefore safer to use with children. They have a stimulating action as well as soothing nerves. Peppermint essential oil mixes well with rosemary and peppermint, while peppermint essential oil mixes well with basil, rosemary and mint.

Rosemary

Rosemary essential oil is a stimulant, and is excellent for use in mental fatigue, lack of energy, and nervous exhaustion. It mixes well with basil, lime and mints both.

How to use essential oils to boost your energy?

There are many ways to use essential oils to increase energy levels, but inhalation methods are best. You can use any of the individual oils, or a prepared mixture (with suggestions in the descriptions) in any of these methods.

Create your own custom mix

They should be mixed in a dark glass bottle, with a dropper cap, and clearly labeled. Add one or two drops of each oil at the time, experimenting until you get a mixture you like, (be sure to keep a detailed record of how many drops of each oil you used so you can recreate it later.) To mix the oils, turn the bottle several times and then roll it gently between your hands for a few minutes.

First method

Inhale the scent directly from the bottle, or two to three drops of oil into a tissue or cotton handkerchief and smell when necessary.

Method 2

Use a diffuser to spread the aroma through the room. In this way you will be able to aromatize the room or room where you are.

Method 3

Add 12 ml of distilled water, 1 tablespoon of vodka, and 30 drops of the essential oil (alone or the mixture) in a bottle with atomizer that dispenses a fine mist. Shake well, and use it as an air freshener.

If you prefer the application of oils to the body, mix the oils with a cold pressed vegetable oil, such as olive oil or oil, with no more than 30 drops of essential oil to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. This can be used as body oil, or as bath oil in a hot bath.

If you lack energy, then try these essential oils and see if this will give your brain and body more energy.
